Cecilia Chow

Award-winning pianist Cecilia Chow has established a versatile career as a soloist and chamber musician across Asia, Europe, and North America. Most recently, she made a highly praised debut with the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra under Denis Mastromonaco, performing Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major—a performance lauded by Mayor Carolyn Parrish for its “musical sensitivity, dazzling technique, and expressive tone.”

A frequent concerto soloist, Chow recently performed Poulenc’s Piano Concerto with the Ontario Cross-Cultural Music Society (OCMS). Her extensive stage credits include performances at Hong Kong City Hall, the Haydn-Haus (Austria), and Chicago’s Pick-Staiger Concert Hall. As an avid chamber musician, she is the co-founder of Trio Émeraude and has collaborated with the Paskke String Quartet and the Northwestern University Chamber Orchestra.

Chow’s festival highlights include the Aspen Music Festival, where she performed alongside the legendary Ann Schein, and a recent residency at Porto Pianofest, featuring an all-Chopin recital. A prizewinner of the Internationaler Deutscher Klavierwettbewerb and a quarter-finalist in the Canadian Chopin Competition, she holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, Northwestern University, and the Glenn Gould School. Currently based in Montréal, she is pursuing a Doctorate in Music at the Université de Montréal under Henry Kramer.
